Remember Me- Chapter Two

Oh boy, was it crazy editing this chapter! Well, I say 'editing', but I basically rewrote the whole thing. I wrote the original two chapters at a time where my style was centered more around telling what happened instead of showing what happened. As such, a lot of emotion and the very details that would have made the story interesting were left out. Hopefully, I've now remedied that. Here's the second chapter so you can decide for yourself! :D

100 Majesties- A 100 BC Update #11

During the night, Ella got her second confirmation that her time with Johnny had been successful. She ran down the hall, into one of the children's bedrooms, and into their connected bathroom to throw up instead of using her own private bathroom right across the hall for her room. Ella did realize it was silly to run so far, and when she woke up a second time during the night she made use of the closer toilet.

Even though it had only been a day since most of her family had lived together, Ella was missing her mother and siblings greatly. It was relieving for her that it was Snowflake Day. It gave Ella the opportunity to throw a gift giving party. She set the celebration up as soon as she got out of bed. It was a little before noon when everyone started to show up.

It was also just as Adelaide and Edwin walked in the door that Ella pregnancy-derped. Luckily, her pretty dress is coded for maternity wear so Kelsey doesn't have to worry about editing her outfit each time she becomes pregnant.

Short Hiatus (OVER!)

As it seems to happen at the beginning of every summer vacation, my laptop has decided to throw a tantrum. I'll be taking it to my computer repair guy in the morning where I'll be able to get a better understanding of what's going on with it and how long it will be out of commission. At this point, I'm expecting the fixing to take several days. This means that there definitely won't be a TGO update tomorrow, and a Thursday update will be unlikely as well. Hopefully everything should be back up and running for the chapters to progress as normal by next week. Whatever happens, I'll do my best to keep you all in-the-know!

UPDATE: Unfortunately, my laptop is still being repaired, and I still haven't gotten exact word as to what is the issue. As such, there will be no new TGO update today. I'm praying I can have it back in time for Thursday's update, but we'll see how that goes. I'll continue editing the older chapters in the meantime, and perhaps break away from Sims updates for a while to post things relating to my other interests.

UPDATE #2: I have finally gotten my laptop back. Unfortunately, everything had to be wiped off it it. The good part of that is that most of my stuff was able to be saved. I still have all the save files for my Sims 3 games and stuff like that (in addition to, you know, like my normal pictures, documents, music, etc). The issue right now is that, naturally, all of the installed software that was on my laptop is no longer installed. I somehow managed to find all of my Sims 3 install CDs save for Pets and Supernatural- but those were the expansions I gave to my sister so I already knew I wouldn't find them. Over the course of today and perhaps tomorrow, I will be reinstalling the game and getting copies of Pets and Supernatural. Then I have to get all the custom content I had back as well. I expect to have my game up and running by Saturday (hopefully), and then I can (again, hopefully) get back to my proper update schedule. In the meantime, I'm going to continue to add new chapters of Remember Me. I also have a few updates of 100 Majesties backlogged that I can post. That should be enough to keep you all entertained.

UPDATE #3: My game is up and running, and the updates will proceed as normal once again. Thanks to everyone for your patience!

Remember Me- Chapter One

Some, if not most, readers of The Goddess' Order are aware that much of the inspiration for me creating The Goddess' Order world is a Lord of the Ring fanfiction that I am currently writing. To be honest, I never planned on sharing any part of the fanfiction online. It is heavily inspired itself from a series of stories, The Mellon Chronicles, written by two people who go by "Siobhan" and "Cassia." The reason I never planned on sharing it is because the plan was for me to take everything that happened in their series and simply write from the perspective of a new character that I would add in. This character ended up being Ellothiel, a young human girl who had lost her memories. Elrond would take her in as his daughter, thus giving her front row seat access to all the events that would occur. In addition to many of the plot ideas and characters being Siobhan's and Cassia's, Ellothiel pretty much starts out as a Mary-Sue. I know many readers are not fond of the amnesia story line, and since I only ever intended to write the fanfiction for myself there are stark inaccuracies in the LotR lore featured in the writing, which I know bothers many fans of Tolkien's works. However, due to a lot of thinking time what with my laptop still being repaired, I decided I would go ahead and post the chapters I have finished. I am not trying to hijack Siobhan's and Cassia's work in any way, and hope this all comes off more as an example of how amazing I believe their work to be as it inspired me to create this fanfiction of my own. I am also hoping sharing the chapters will convince me to finally give them the editing they need, and to simply continue writing the fanfiction as I have pushed it to the side for some time now.

What I'm Currently Listening to #2

Japanese Songs
#1
SAKURA- Naotaro Moriyama and Naohito Fujiki

I discovered this song while I was watching a show clip featuring one of my favorite idol groups. It was around the beginning of spring, and they were discussing the most successful songs that had the word "Sakura" (Cherry Blossom) in the title. This song is the most successful one to date. It is the insert song from a drama called "Itoshi Kimi E" (To the One I Love), which centers around a woman finding out that the man she has fallen in love with will lose his eyesight in three months.

#2
OKOCHAMA SENSOU ("Childish War")- Rin and Len Kagamine

This is a dance cover by Kamen Liar 217 (the older girl; she also goes by Niina) and Ririri to a Vocaloid song.

#3
TOKI WO KOE SORA WO KOE- Morning Musume '14

One of the two newest songs by Morning Musume. It is one my my favorite songs of theirs that they've released recently. I like everything about it save for most of the dance. It has been strongly hinted that the song is in honor about those who lost their lives in the 2011 Tohoku earthquake, although there has been no official confirmation about such a thing.

English Songs
#4
TEARS FOR ALICE- David Lanz

The song technically doesn't have any words, but it was created by an American composer. I have loved this song for a long time, but I had forgotten about it until recently. I had had a linked saved to it on my old laptop I am currently using as my Alienware is getting fixed. Now that I've discovered it again, I made sure I saved it to a playlist on YouTube.

#5
I SEE FIRE- Peter Hollens

This is an acappella cover of Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire" from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I like the original as well, but I think I prefer this version just a little bit more. I came across Peter Hollens from the featured channels they have on YouTube. Normally I ignore them, but in this case I was drawn in immediately. I recommend checking out more of Hollens' songs.

The Goddess' Order Revision

I just thought I should make this post to let everyone know what is going on. For a long while now, I've wanted to go through all the previous chapters of The Goddess' Order (especially the earliest ones) to give them a good editing. By doing this, I hope to improve their quality and make the writing style more consistent to what I am currently producing. I am posting below the links to the chapters that have been revised so far, and will add more as I progress through this work.

Part One

Blackout

I sat on my bed wondering what to do. It had been a long time, and Eloril, Maldor, and Michael had not returned. Nana and Thralas didn't show up either. I had no idea where everyone had gone or what was going to happen next. Though my head still hurt terribly and I felt unsteady on my feet, I decided to explore a little. I had grown used to the room I was in, and wanted to see more of the hospital. A quick peek down the corridor showed me that there was little else besides seats and glass doors that led to rooms appearing to be quite similar to my own. No one was in sight, although I could sense that others were about nearby. I started wandering to the right. However, I barely got anywhere. My room was on the corner, and as soon as I reached the intersection a sense of familiarity too strong to be ignored washed over me. My eyes were drawn to the room at the end of the way.

100 Majesties- A 100 BC Update #10

I really don't like snow days in the Sims. The bus still comes, and sometimes I miss canceling the actions of the children to get on it. Then I get all these notifications about them missing school if I do cancel it, and occasionally the children's grades will drop. In one particular instance, pretty much everyone in the house went to school on a snow day as I wasn't paying attention. They went to classes for a few hours before the game finally realized they weren't supposed to be there. Most of the kids went home, but I eventually found Edwin and Hershel just chilling out in front of the school's doors.

Kenneth spent the day off practicing his shooting using the soccer net Emmeline had bought with all the festival tickets the family had collected. She had enough tickets to buy some of the more expensive prizes, but there wasn't enough room in the yard for them.

The other children, like Elmira here, took advantage of the rest of the little yard room left to decorate it with snowmen and snow angels. An attempt at an igloo was made, but there simply wasn't enough space for it at the end of the day.

100 Majesties- A 100 BC Update #9

I couldn't believe it, but it was time for another Majesty to make his way into the world. Charlie had had his birthday, and had become a Young Adult. His goal was to improve his physique as well as his mind. It was hard for Emmeline to say goodbye to her calm alien son, but it was nice for her to see that all her hard work was resulting in well-adjusted, responsible children who were able to take great big first steps into the adult world.

There was another birthday soon after Charlie's departure. Estelle grew up having Emmeline's hair, but otherwise looked almost identical to Dayvid as Emmeline had suspected she would.

As I had had to turn off Story Progression for a while due to the world lagging, the population of Moonlight Falls had started to slope downwards. I decided to place into the town some of the Berry Sims I have created to add variety to the populace in addition to bolstering the numbers of the town again. Ella became friends with Sunglow Morning almost instantly. The two frequently got together to collaborate on their homework.

Confusion

Something bad must have happened. That was my first thought when consciousness very slowly returned to me. Everything had been so wonderful, then there was such a long period of darkness, and now there was a massive pain in my head added onto my world of darkness. I could barely make sense of anything. I was lying in a bed. My hair had been braided, but what idiot had done that? Everyone knew how much I hated having my hair tied up completely. The pain, me being in a bed, and my hair not how I liked it truly was all I could make out. I didn't have the strength to open my eyes. I figured whatever had happened to my head must have been making me rather out of sorts. Weird beeping sounds echoed from all directions while I swore I kept hearing a woman's voice in some unfamiliar language project out from the ceiling nearby. It could only be reasoned that I was dreaming. Otherwise, I was afraid to think what being in the strange place I was in meant for me.

A Mother's Guilt

Urelia

It is one of my most fondest memories. It is one I hate the most. It shows me how much I had, but also how much I have lost. If things had never been so wonderful, then all the horrible things that happened wouldn't have hurt as much. I would have never done what I regret the most if I hadn't had those terrible memories to haunt me. However, the reality is that those terrible memories will plague my eternal life. The worse reality is that I will always have to remember the cruel things I have achieved with my own hands for eternity as well. I suppose I should pause and take a step back before I get too far ahead of myself though.

That memory. That day. It was such an ordinary one. There was absolutely nothing unusual that happened. My mother, Rynania, and I went out to our favorite spot- a small, clear field in the middle of a grove of trees. It was our special place. We went there each and every day without fail. In those times, there was not a lot of urgency about anything. There had never been war. There had never been betrayal. The humans were still a young people, and we got along with them peacefully. I had no interaction with them until they did shift into the murders they would become. Yes, the many years leading up till that point were days filled with calm serenity. Nana and I could spend hours at that field in the grove never having to worry about being anywhere or doing anything.

Overwhelmed

Silas was not happy with me at all that I hadn't alerted him of my labor. He rushed in when Andethon really began belting, and I thought he was going to throw a tantrum. I also began to fear that he would take Andethon away. While Silas had placed a crib in the room, he had never said just how often our son would be staying with me. I lied to Silas to calm him down. I told him that I had tried to get his attention, but the pain had just been so intense that I hadn't been able to call his name loudly or pound on the door. I had barely managed to make it to the bed.

Pretending to be absolutely exhausted and on the verge of crying did have the effect I wished for. Silas' anger eased dissipated, and he no longer blamed me. He was simply glad Andethon had been born safely. He made me rest while he took care of Andethon for a while. From the little bit of talking that we did, I was able to deduce that he planned on leaving our son with me most of the time. It did make the most sense for it to be that way. I was much more prepared and experienced to be his care-giver, and Andethon was far too young for Silas to begin his brainwashing on him. Silas also mentioned something about becoming very busy. I hoped that meant he was finally starting to be pressured by the police finding out location. I truly did not want Andethon or I to be in this place for much longer.

Passing Time

I was watching television again, desperately hoping one of the channels might make some small sort of mention of me and my disappearance. It had been weeks now since Silas had taken me. There would definitely be a fuss about the situation by now as ada, naneth, and Eloril would have received the news. I bet ada and Eloril rushed over to the human side leaving naneth in charge at home. She probably lucked out. With my kidnapping to distract him, Eloril most likely hadn't though to mention everything that she had done to me to ada. I flipped to another channel, and watched it for a while. Nothing. Another channel. Nothing. I flipped back several channels. I was always paranoid that as soon as I moved on that there would be something broadcasted about me. There was never anything. I must have sat there for another hour continuing my work. When all the hundreds of channels had been gone through, the remote smashed into the floor as I tossed it to the ground again. I had to stop doing that as that was the third one Silas had to buy as I had broken the others, but I couldn't help it.

My frustration was peaking. So badly did I want to scream and wreck half the place! That's when Wesley showed up right on schedule. He leaned over, wrapped his arms around me, and placed his head against mine. He said nothing, but I calmed instantly. Ever since that first day, he has shown up just when I need him the most. I was left to debate if he really only was an image from a dream. I couldn't possibly be half-asleep all the times he has shown up. My more realistic explanation was that I was going crazy. I truly could feel my mind going down chaotic paths, and my behavior was becoming increasingly more sporadic and unpredictable. However, potentially losing my mind was what was actually saving me. Slipping away allowed me to see Wesley. He always pulled me back to safety, just as he was doing then. The two of us remained in that position for a long time. I grasped at his arms and tried to pull him back to me when he began shifting away. I told him he couldn't leave. Wesley chuckled. He wasn't leaving. He simply needed to stretch out his back after being hunched over for so long.

The Lucane Family in the Sims #2

After I posted the previous update on the Lucane family, I got bored one day and decided to run them around on free will during a play session. I don't really have anything to reveal or explain about the characters from the novel, so this post will be their Sim-versions just living their lives. As there really isn't much for entertainment in the house, everyone reads constantly. Jan (I'm omitting the circumflex that should be above the 'a' in his name as it messes up the format of the text) and Elle took a seat down next to each other at the dining table to get several pages in before they had to begin their work for the day.

Long Day

I had managed to pull myself off the floor and into bed at some late hour. I had cried myself to exhaustion, and fell asleep quickly. It was a blessing that I did. The last thing I had needed was a fitful night of tossing and turning. I slipped into unconsciousness easily though, and rested deeply until the bright rays of morning light streaming through the window woke me up. I remained in bed for a good long while after that. I heard Silas come in at some point to bring me my breakfast. I continued to stay in bed for another half hour. Eventually, I forced myself to get up. My breakfast was a slice of pumpkin pie. I thought this was strange considering it was late spring, but Silas definitely wasn't a normal man. Though I wasn't hungry when I began eating, my stomach growled loudly after the first few forkfuls went into my mouth. The salad last night had been delicious, but not particularly filling. I was still hungry when I finished my slice. I hoped Silas would bring me more food than the three main daily meals otherwise I would begin to riot. Thanks to my children, I have become accustomed to snacking throughout the day. To not be able to eat at my leisure would drive me crazy.
