CMW Family Tree

It took a little longer than anticipated to get this out, but here's the best of what I could put together to help organize the new families and characters of Color My World: Generation Two. If you would like to browse through the actual family tree I made at FamilyEcho that links together the Yonders, Vivids, Charms, Waters, and Springs click here.

The Vivids

Tales of Lerathian: The Puppet (Chapter Fourteen Excerpt)

Sorry for the lack of posts recently! I thought I would be able to squeeze in some small projects alongside my NaNoWriMo writing, but that unfortunately turned out not to be the case. I did manage to hit the 50,000 total though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to get at least the family tree for CMW and the short story I wanted to tell about Hunter and Eden out with my few extra free days. I've also decided to share with you this excerpt from Chapter Fourteen of my NaNo novel that I've been doing for the project for the past several years. I've finally almost finished it! It was difficult finding a passage to share that didn't really spoil anything, but I think this choice works rather well. It gives me a bit of a giggle. I hope it at least gives the rest of you a smile! Enjoy!

(I recommend reading the excerpts I've posted in the past so those unfamiliar with this story have at least a basic understanding of most of these characters.)

Colorful Children

A good while ago now, I believe about the time the Gen One kids became teenagers in CMW, I decided to do a little experimenting with Ethereal and what kind of children she would have if she had babies with each of the most prominent male characters in the story. I intended for her to have at least one son and one daughter with each potential match, but like a few of my side projects I eventually lost interest and never came back to it. Here's what I got done though, so I hope you enjoy!

Knowing I would need a large house, I picked the big, empty one available in Twinbrook. It was Ethereal and Amaranth, Allium, Frost, and Sap. In order to stop myself from stressing out over managing each and every one of them, I tweaked a few settings and let them all run around of Free Will. That led to some incredibly out of character developments to take place. This biggest one was these two- they fell for each other almost instantly.

Soooo, yeah. In this save, Alliost (or Frum or whatever you want to call them) was a thing.

Playing with Colors (Men)

It's color changing time again! I thought it would be fun to take the original six, split them into their respective gender categories, and switch around theirs colors to match the other two. I was planning on including Ethereal, Sunset, and Sunflower in this post, but Ethereal's white skin was proving highly problematic to work with. Even after changing it to a normal color and resetting her, the glowing haze still appeared around her- distorting the tone of the skin. The problem would have appeared after I gave it to Sunset and Sunflower too. I gave up on the girls for the moment, and when I get back to them again I'll simply swap around Meadow's green colors instead of the white. For now, simply enjoy these new version of Amaranth, Allium, and Frost!

Just to jog your memory, here's what they look like normally.

Edenx2 Babies

I figure most people aren't aware of this (especially those who only follow the blog), but Eden "Deny" Yonder is a lovely Sim I have borrowed from Mystic Illusions, starguru's 100 Baby Challenge. When she also produced a Sim named Eden, I couldn't help but to color her up and stick her together with my Eden just for the fun of them sharing the same name. Seeing how the couple has only adopted in the story and not produced any biological children, I decided to play with just the two one night in a blank save to see what biological children of the couple would look like.

This is that result.

Purity, Wisp, & Prism- Colored

With there being a rather drastic lack of green that came out in the Christmas Presents (Amaranth and Ethereal's lovely rugrats), I decided that it would be interesting to give Wisp and Prism color to see if that was where the green was hiding. I also decided to take one extra step to give Purity her color as well just to cover all the albinos we've had in the story until this point. Who got which color where was determined with a classic clip of the coin. I like to think the results are pretty good.

To make things a little more interesting, I'd love to hear any ideas anyone has for what these characters would have been called had they been born with their color.
