Even though the maid has little other to do than make a couple beds and put dishes in the dishwasher, he seems to always fail cleaning up the nursery. So many times he'll say he's done, and hasn't even gone into the room. The family pays good money for his work, but Alshain is still left to clean up the worst of the mess. The poor guy can't catch a break.
Though Capella is the source of the nastiness he has to deal with, Alshain loves taking care of his niece. Those glowing, bright blue eyes of hers certainly are charming. Alshain isn't sure if she's just that adorable, or if it's her vampire seduction powers taking root.
As hard-working as Hamal and Ara are towards their careers, Alshain is clearly not a slacker. He actually rarely sleeps a full night. He uses a sleeping elixir to get all the rest he needs quickly, and then spends most of the rest of the night making potion after potion to create a store of useful creations the family can use when things get tough.
In one of those rare moments of affection, Hamal took Capella out on a long walk in the stroller. He doesn't seem to find her so troublesome to deal with now that Alshain has taught her all her skills. That took her a little further away from being completely dependent, which makes her slightly less bothersome.
Cousin Sheratan doesn't find little Capella bothersome though. He allows Alshain to take breaks by watching over her. Being raised by his uncle more than his evil mother has been a blessing for the boy. So far, he's turned into quite the good-hearted and helpful child.
Alshain finally got Morrigan Hemlock over so he could try to take the next step forwards in his desire to be a chess master. He called her over earlier, but he forgot about the small fact that she was a vampire and thus couldn't stand the sun for very long. With the chess board being outside, they didn't even get halfway through their game before Morrigan had to retreat. Things became more peaceful when they did a rematch at night. Alshain won.
Capella's birthday came, and she remained as cute as ever.
Sheratan was very glad that they two of them were finally the same age. They were automatically best friends, and began spending all their time together.
Someone is always having some kind of problem in this house. This time it was the new, female maid the house got. I guess standing inside the bed makes it easier to reach the other side?
Now that Capella is a child, the four heirs can now sit together with each heir line on one side. Though this challenge is still in the very early stages, I love the four of them getting together like this. It shows progress!
Hamal and Sheratan spent some bonding time (is what you can very vaguely call it) by taking a trip to the hospital. Sheratan wasn't feeling so great, and needed to get a shot. The rest of the women Hamal impregnated had all their children. No more heirs had been born. Hamal decided to get a vasectomy so he could still get around without having to worry about creating any more bra- ahem, blessings from above.
Snowflake Day arrived, and the household threw their annual gift giving party. They invited as much of their family over as possible. Things went much more smoothly this time around. Everyone found a seat and sat down down without complaining. Everyone, except Hamal. He made a big fuss. Capella just stared at her father in disbelief. There was a whole empty couch for him to sit on. There was no need for the racket.
Despite the fact that it was a holiday, the carpool still came for Hamal and Ara for some reason. I could have used Master Controller to give them the day off like they were supposed to have, but I made them go. Each day they go to work gets them so much closer towards their dream. I don't know why, but their experience goes up likes crazy every time they work. They seriously earn a promotion after every single day.
Needless to say, they're getting pretty close to the top. You would think the two of them being siblings, spending so much time working together, and having so many similar interests them would make them best of friends. And you're right. Hamal and Ara are as close as can be. However, they're still evil. That doesn't stop them from doing nasty things to the other. The victim just understands the thrill the other gets from doing something mean, and doesn't get upset.
In this particular case, Hamal used the moodlet manager he got from Rigel after he passed away on Ara. Since she didn't have any negative moodlets, the beam caused her to pass out instead. Hamal cheered, and then left Ara lying on the floor.
The last days of winter came around, and Sheratan and Capella were determined to enjoy them as much as possible. They rushed to finish their homework before running outside to build snowmen, igloos, and have multiple random snowball fights. Sheratan lead the way when it came to building with the snow, but Capella had him owned in the snowball fights. He just can't win against that vampire strength of hers.
As much trouble as she's given Sheratan, Ara is different from Hamal in that she actually does love her son. She'll play with him, read him bedtime stories, and really talk with him.
After a sim week had passed since Alshain slept with Belisama, I knew something was up. She was clearly pregnant, but she apparently got stuck in the third day stage. Labor never came, even after I reset her. Having no other choice after trying various methods, I used Master Controller to terminate her pregnancy. I then used the "Instant Baby" option and randomized everything so I could pretend the twin girls that were born were the children Belisama originally carried.
She named the older, blonde sister Maggie, and the younger purple-haired sister Margaret. Yeah, really creative there. Alshain and Belisama worked out that they would each kept one girl. Alshain took Margaret since she had the purple hair and was cuter overall. I'm so picky when it comes to looks in this challenge, haha. Margaret Hemlock was renamed Botein Starr.
When Alshain walked through the door with a toddler in arm, Hamal was furious. Alshain left Sheratan and Capella to play with their new cousin while Hamal told him off. The whole reason he spent money on expensive surgery was so that he didn't have to deal with crying, time-consuming children. I guess Hamal did feel some love and sympathy towards his brother, because he agreed to allow Botein to stay after he began to calm down. He did make Alshain promise to keep her quiet though.
Sheratan aged up, and is beginning to look a lot like the man who donated his sperm for Ara to use. Hamal was so cheerful at his birthday, because now that Sheratan is a teen it's one less child for Hamal to stress out about. It also adds another person who can look after Botein properly, meaning it's less of a chance that he'll have to babysit her.
But there was a downside to Sheratan's aging up. He's too good. Of all the part-time jobs he had to choose from, he decided to take a job at the police station. Hamal and Ara began to worry that he was someday going to betray them by coming after them.
Perhaps wanting to appeal to the underlying evil nature all vampires have, Ara began spending more time with Capella. She hoped that if she stopped doing so many mean things to the child, she could turn her towards the dark path instead of pushing her away from it.
After maxing out all the skills needed for his job, Hamal needed something to do during the day to preoccupy his time. Learning how to mix drinks seemed like a great option. There was all sorts of crazy concoctions Hamal could create, and if he ever needed to get rid of someone, it would be all too easy to simply slip something into a drink. Unfortunately, Hamal sucks terribly at making anything. All of his drinks are coming out putrid and horrifying in quality.
A rift has come between Ara and Sheratan because of Sheratan's current career choice, but Ara is still willing to spend time with her son in hopes of changing his mind. The two took the entire afternoon to allow Sheratan enough driving time to earn his driver's license. It also gave them a lot of quality time to talk.
Hamal took Ara's lead to interact with Capella better so that she might choose to follow their path. Capella was excited to learn that she would get to ride in the limo Hamal's work provides, but Hamal saw that he had a lot of work to do when Capella wanted to sit nowhere near him.
The situation did get a bit better once they reached their destination at the beach. The spring water was rather cold, but Capella wasn't bothered by it. Hamal suffered through it because this was where his daughter wanted to come. He eventually got used to it, and the two enjoyed the beautiful city and night sky view.
Alshain gave Botein a lollipop when he thought Ara wasn't around, but she was simply hiding so she could seize the opportunity when Alshain went to use the restroom. Alshain tracked her down when he returned to find Botein crying loudly holding no lollipop. However, he could not find out what his sister had done with the candy.
The day came where all of Hamal and Ara's work paid off! They two are now Emperors of Evil, and co-leaders of the Organization. They've truly earned their red glow and awesome outfits.
I never really play evil Sims, so I was really exited to find out this following tidbit. Emperors of Evil get a red glow around them every fifteen seconds or so. The others around them will react differently to the glow depending on their traits. Because Hamal and Ara are both evil, they turn to look at each other and give enthused responses.
Put Alshain next to them, and each time the glow came he gave a negative reaction. Others have probably known this for a long time, but I thought this was such a cool touch. Sims actually react accordingly to seeing the head honcho of a criminal corporation. That's pretty sweet.
