Which One?

I just had to make this kind of save at some point.

Laril will be the one I will always choose for Ellothiel due to him being her "canon" love. However, I really wanted to know who Sim Ellothiel would pick when she had the choice between Wesley or Laril. That led me to putting the three of them together in a household in Dragon Valley and giving up control of them entirely to see what the results would be.

After tinkering with the Story Progression and Woohooer settings, I pressed play. Wesley and Laril both instantly cornered Ellothiel in the hallway in order to be the first one to flirt with her. The poor girl is already having to choose.

Laril is the lucky one who gets the first interaction in. Ellothiel responds well to his advances, and so the two hit it off. Wesley is left to be the third wheel.

He wanders into the living room to watch some television while Ellothiel and Laril's laughs echo to him from the hallway.

The two bring their flirting into the living room to really shove it in Wesley's face. However, thankfully for him, Laril then proceeds to apparently go for the opposite of his goal. He accuses Ellothiel of being improper and gets her upset with other insults.

Yeah, Laril, you're not going to get what's on the television screen if this is how you keep things up.

Ellothiel becomes fed up with his bothersome behavior. She sits down to join Wesley in watching his shows, but he promptly stands up when she dares to change the channel. He's not dealing with that nonsense.

Just like when they were in the little room next to Ellothiel's room during her kidnapped storyline, Wesley and Laril don't get along at the beginning here either. Now that they were directly competing for Ellothiel's affection, there seemed to be few reasons for them to get along. It took a while for the two to even warm up to the other. Wesley and Laril mostly ignored each others presence.

Save for a few choice instances. Where exactly are you looking, Laril? None of that now.

Wesley gets in his flirting time with Ellothiel. He does a much better job at not making her angry and not insulting her.

Everyone eventually does take a seat on the couch so they can relax together.

Some residents of Dragon Valley come over to visit the new arrivals to the town. I was going to send them on their way so my three could develop their relationships better first before other women entered the picture, but I changed my mind and let them come in.

What I expected to happen was exactly what happened. The two other elves quickly caught the attention of the males of the house.

Pretty soon, Ellothiel was on her own watching Wesley and Laril expend their energy on Susie and What's-Her-Face instead of her. It didn't take much longer before she sent the visitors on their way.

As if to draw the attention back to her, she instantly started preparing a nice salad dinner for them all to eat.

Both she and Wesley got stuck with cleaning duty.

The evening got later. Ellothiel, Wesley, and Laril got tired. They rushed for the bed at the same time. Wesley and Laril budged their way in so that they wouldn't have to spend the night on the couch. Seriously, guys. Stealing the bed is not how you win a gal over.

Just look at that pout!

I gotta admit, that's a pretty cute view though.

The boys get a good night's sleep. They wake up early and begin chatting- getting along much better than they were the day before.

Meanwhile, Ellothiel was desperately trying to get a decent amount of rest on the couch in the living room.

I took away the television during the second day because the three spent all their time watching it and not interacting. I kept the art easel. Wesley as the first one who noticed it. He appropriately started working on a painting of a heart.

Ellothiel snuck in the bed later in the day to get some better ZZZs.

Wesley worked on his painting nonstop until it was completed.

This amused me. I call it a "flirting circle." Ellothiel, Wesley, and Laril started a group conversation. How it would go would be Laril flirting with Ellothiel, then Wesley would perform a Romantic interaction with her, then it would go back to Laril, then back to Wesley, and so on. It was nice to see the boys taking fair turns.

Crossing your legs while sitting is the way to go!

By the end of the second day, Wesley was doing much better with Ellothiel. Laril had stopped insulting Ellothiel, but that disturbance at the beginning really set him back. Wesley was all too easily able to slip in during the seconds where Laril was preoccupied to bring his relationship bar with her further up and up.

Laril didn't make things easier on himself when he continued to insist on taking showers when his hygiene bar was barely down.

Right before dinner, Ellothiel told Wesley and Laril a ghost story. Besides getting some good facial expressions out of them, telling the story also bumped both of them up to Friends.

That allowed the automatic woohoo to trigger. All three of them rushed towards the bed with the interaction active. Ellothiel squeezed her way in first, but Wesley and Laril had quite a bit of trouble in getting through the door. The walked around each other in circles in a mad attempt to be the first one on the bed.

And, finally, one of them won the battle and got the honor of the first woohoo! Who was it?

Find out next time! (^_-)☆

  1. It must be said: Ellothiel is a total pimp. Good girl!

I do hope its Wesley, but only because he was developed so well and for so long. I feel Laril is a good fit for Ellothiel in the cannon (obviously. Its what happened), but if we don't have to worry about forever...

    Wesley gets my vote.

  2. Haha, that's exactly what I thought the whole time playing this out. Ellothiel was absolutely spoiled with their attention (and constant woohoos) to the point where I was occasionally worried about her starving because the boys would just not leave her alone! XD

That's one of the things I wasn't happy about with the epilogue and Ellothiel's relationship with Laril in general. I did have all that time to develop Wesley, and then Ellothiel and Wesley together. Laril only has that relatively minor appearance in Part Three, and what is seen of him at the end is glossed over because I had to move fast in order to finish the story. I'm hoping once I can get some short stories with him in them out that it will balance everything in the end. He is my personal favorite, so I do want him to get his fair share ^^ lol

  3. Im totally torn right down the middle - I love Laril - although I have to admit I prefered him visually as Lar in his hat. however, I feel like I know Wesley better like Cece said.

  4. I actually really miss his "human" appearance as well. That's why I gave him his stubble back. He looks so much more manly with it, haha ^^
