100 Majesties- A 100 BC Update #59

The busiest room in the house used to be the nursery, but when Celeste, Evangeline, and Oliver grew up Abigail found that she no longer had the peace of a bedroom all to herself. It really didn't take long for the relatively small household the family owned to fill up. That would have to be something to be remembered when the time for the next move arrived- more space.

100 Majesties- A 100 BC Update #58

In all the chaos of handling a house full of children, Allura remembered to make some calls in time in order to set up a gift giving party. The guest list focused merely on bringing family over, but there were a few random people who popped by. It couldn't be minded too much. They did bring food and more presents to share.

A Bit of an Update

It's been pretty quiet around here recently, and I'm sure that's been well noticed. It's been an up and down month and a half or so. After losing my job of three years due to store closure around mid-December, I was jobless until about the beginning of May. Not for lack of trying though. No matter where I applied, even minimum wage retail/food jobs, simply no one was biting. Then I managed to get a job as a baker's assistant at this cake shop I really like. It paid better than my old job, and things were fine for a few weeks. Then I got a call about a week ago. The owner had overestimated how much business the shop would be getting. For whatever reason, the amount of traffic and orders they were getting wasn't comparing to previous years. The owners barely had enough money for the shop, let alone me and the few other people they hired, so I'm currently on a weird sort of hiatus. I might be called back if things pick up, but no one knows if such a thing will occur. I've been told, of course, that I am more than free to look for other work, but I'm running into the same silence I ran into all those first months of the year. It doesn't help that I've already expended most of my reasonable choices. The cake shop was already quite a drive away.

My main point with this update is to let you all know what's been going on and why it's been harder to post. My other goal was to gauge interest in an idea. Someone once asked me why I didn't try out a Patreon. I said at the time that I wasn't sure if it was worthwhile, but now I'm debating on whether it might be worth it to at least try. The plan would be to focus both around my Sim writing and my normal writing to hopefully pull in some sort of following. Everything would still be free here and on my Tumblr, naturally, but there would be those extra Patreon perks. I've even been considering learning how to make poses. It's something I've always wanted to do, and I know there's always demand for that. In any case, what are your impressions? Even if subscribing to a Patreon isn't something you'd like to do, how do you feel about helping to advertise the blog/my Tumblr/my normal writing? Just, how do you feel in general about the whole thing, is what I'm after. Predictably, I'd be overjoyed if I managed to find some sort of constant monetary support from it. It would definitely mean Color My World would return almost right away.

I'll get back to posting on a more constant basis as soon as I can. I'm unsure if I'll continue transferring the Vampire Coven posts over though. The formatting gets ridiculously messed up copying from Tumblr to Blogger, and it's rather irritating fixing it.

In order not to leave you with nothing, here's a little something I did one night when I had free time. A Tumblr I follow, TaiNoodles, made adorable mermaid dolls with the Sims from her main rainbowcy, so I made some for the Vivid family. You couldn't get even a fourth as intricate with the children and younger mermaids as you could with the adults, but I still think Prism, Desire, Coal, Cerise, and Glade came out cute.

Vampire Coven ~Post Collection #3~

“Well, Brannon Weldon,” he retorted smugly, “I am Eldon Vorigan, Elder of the coven in this area.”
“Yeah, so I figured when word got around the sleeping vampires had finally woken up. We did know you were there. Just couldn’t get to you. And I didn’t realize you could call yourself an Elder when your ‘coven’ consists of no one but you and your wife.”
“You said you came here to talk, or do you truly only desire to attempt to insult me?”
“Just wanted to make sure you remembered the laws you have to follow. I’m not happy about your return, but your kind isn’t the lone one who follows tradition. We’ll leave you be as long as you don’t step out of line.”
“Ah, yes, the guidelines your ancestors and my people agreed upon in our pact of peace. Do not fear. My wife and I remember them well. We are leaving the humans we feed on quite unharmed, and their memories are altered as necessary. For the most part. There was a single man who had to give a whole donation, but one such meal is well within the limits we promised to not break.”

Coal the Cop

It's been a bit since I've posted some CMW related stuff, so I thought I would remedy that. The 3rd Generation is still a ways off, although I have been working a little on getting the most important factors prepared- the families, lots, and etc. Depending on how that work goes and how spoilery it is, I might preview something now and again. For now though, here's some shots of an AU of CMW, a CMW where Coal got to be a cop. The story would have remained the same save for Buckeye not injuring Coal's eye.

100 Majesties- A 100 BC Update #57

The household woke up to some sad news. Fintan had passed away during the night, leaving poor Tim quite upset at the loss of his father. Allura comforted him as best as she could, but some things just have to be cried out.

100 Majesties- A 100 BC Update #56

When the timing was appropriate, Allura called Aphpo to see if he was willing to make another visit back to earth. He was, but Allura was disappointed that the weather wasn't more cooperative for their time together. They wanted to take a nice walk before checking out the stadium. However, the pouring rain forced them to abandon the walk and go straight to warming up, in a certain way, in their own comfy corner of the large lot.
