100 Majesties- A 100 BC Update #57

The household woke up to some sad news. Fintan had passed away during the night, leaving poor Tim quite upset at the loss of his father. Allura comforted him as best as she could, but some things just have to be cried out.

The pain began to ease as the days passed, and happy events boosted morale. Abigail had her birthday. To add insult to injury in regards to the fact that all of Allura's children keep coming out with black hair, Abigail also came out with her favorite color being black. Perhaps one day the chain will be broken.

Despite practicing her magic as often as possible, Jane finds little success when she goes to cast proper spells. Allura wasn't quite sure what her daughter was attempting. All she and her sons knew was that there was a boom before Jane came downstairs to get dinner looking as if she'd been in a great fire.

A shower and some relaxation got her back to normal. Jane proceeded to spend the rest of the evening safely playing with her younger sister instead of giving her spells another try.

That weekend was a lazy one for all given the copious amount of rain falling from the sky. As always, the weather remained stubborn about being poor whenever the children had free time. Not that anyone minded. Everyone mostly hung out in the living room watching television, playing videos games, painting, reading, and chatting. Overall, it was good bonding time.

Then there was another celebration. Little Jane grew up, and her birthday was enjoyed merrily. Cake was had, presents were given, and Allura helped Jane pick out a nice place and find an acceptable job before it was time for her second child to leave the nest.

In the days that followed Jane's departure, the rain fell and fell and fell. The boys, however, were determined to get out. They decided to take a trip to the library where Booker and Talmedge decided the best seats to steal were the ones in front of some the computers. Timothy respectfully took up a comfy spot on a couch in the children's section.

Allura wasn't pleased when he returned home early. With Jane leaving and Abigail getting older, it was time to fall back into old habits. Searching the contacts in her phone, she picked a name and invited Aaron Finnegan over. Allura was just started to put the moves on him when her young son walked in to break up the atmosphere.

Allura feared her chance for the day was gone after that. Aaron appeared rather eager to leave as he walked out the door almost immediately hardly giving her a glance as he walked by.

However, he didn't fully leave. Something kept him on the porch for whatever reason, giving Allura the opportunity to talk him up some more. She was able to convince him to head back inside after a lot of schmoozing and conversation.

Timothy, unfortunately, wanted to keep things difficult. No matter how strongly Allura hinted that Aaron should follow her away from the openness of the entrance way, Aaron gave in to Timothy's promptings for conversation time and time again. He would move towards Allura a bit when she called to him, but she struggled greatly to get him away from the front door.

Things worked out in the end though. Allura gave Timothy free range on her laptop, which distracted him enough for her to recapture Aaron's attention. Their time together went smoothly following that, and the days that passed proceeded without incident as well. Allura felt the pangs of pregnancy after a while, although Booker wished it hadn't happened in front of the fridge while he was trying to get his dinner.

Within a day or two, the first snow of winter started to fall. What also arrived besides the snow was the next full moon. Allura and the children got comfy inside and ignored the zombies as usual, but a different kind of disturbance caught their attention. One of the zombies died of old age while complaining about not being able to reach Allura's plants. The Grim Reaper appeared, helped her pass on, and vanished to leave behind a headstone for the woman.

Not wanting another supernatural plaguing her yard, Allura snuck past the few other zombies roaming about to collect the headstone and bring it to the mausoleum. There were several people there even though it was late at night. Allura meant to introduce herself to them after her business was complete, but they all left before she was done. She simply returned home and went to bed.

Then, already, it was time for Abigail's next birthday.

Her alien features suit her incredibly well.

Allura wishes her children would take her poor heart into account when they pull pranks in the house. She can handle taking a shower and having her hair temporarily dyed a random color, but she did not appreciate it when she went to continue working on her next book and had a terrifying image abruptly pop up to give her a small heart attack.

Her laptop would go on to be ignored for a bit anyway though. It was baby time. Given Aaron's vibrant coloring, she was a little surprised to see her newborn daughter Celeste come out with an average skin tone and, yup, more black hair.

However, the difference would be made up, for Allura didn't just give birth to Celeste. She also had another daughter who she named Evangeline. It took seven children, but Allura finally had a child whose locks didn't match hers!

Not only that, but she had two children with an abundance of color. Celeste and Evangeline were soon joined by their younger brother, Oliver.

All three triplets came out screaming and crying. Thankfully, Allura had plenty of hands willing to help her make it through that crazy first night.
