I caught Lynette and Homer in an automatic Try for Baby woohoo. Naturally, I didn't want any of that. They unfortunately got the woohoo in even though I canceled the interaction as fast as I could. Either canceling the woohoo did actually prevent the conception from taking place or this was one of those rare moments where the woohoo failed, but, luckily, no baby was made. The close call had me keeping a better eye on them though.
With the teens having the weekend off with no real big events to attend or celebrate, I let them wander around town. Their first destination was the park the family owned as I wanted to see some activity going on, and I also hoped having sims on the lot would encourage people from the rest of the town to visit. I'm sure others came when I wasn't looking, but it would have been nice to see for myself the town enjoying the changes made to the lot.
No one else did show up, but the teens had a much better time than I anticipated. They were having such fun that they ran about the playground most of the day.
Lynette finished raking up all the leaves on the alchemy shop lot, so she switched her focus to the house across the street. That might be a bit intrusive, but...
The place actually belonged to Fletchel. He instantly came out to greet his mother and allow her inside in case she needed anything.
The weekend passed in relaxation, and celebration took over the house on Monday when Clara and Elsie had their birthday. The girls aged up wonderfully and found a house to share closer to the beach.
Homer attempted to visit the alchemy shop for Lynette one day as she was too busy doing other things to make the trip himself. He made it to the shop just fine, but bad luck struck. The game decided to reset who ran the register right as Homer walked in. The old cashier now free of his duty went over to fiddle with the alchemy station while no one had yet been chosen to fill his job.
Frustrated by the inconsistency of employees and still not having found a potion to turn Genevieve human, Homer purchased an alchemy station of his own and procured some basic ingredients to make elixirs of his own. Leilan, highly curious about the process, often spent time peering over his father's shoulder watching.
After dealing with such a massive household for such a long time, it was incredibly nice just to have the two adults and three teens. It allowed me time to actually focus on them individually and work on their skills and relationships outside the household.
Success! A Cue Elixir was obtained, and Genevieve didn't mind one bit about losing her status as a fairy.
Homer went back to practicing his spellwork. However, he didn't get the greatest results.
He was persistent though, enough to the point where he mastered the fireball. His next goal became to master ice.
The only way to do that was to cast the spell at someone, and Lynette became his victim. I dropped down a level to find this. No clue what happened with Lynette there and why her shape ballooned so much. Perhaps a bad mesh? But I was pretty sure her clothes were base game items. Either way, I don't think Homer was expecting the spell to go so far as to freeze his wife into a statue of solid ice.
Panicking as he thought he might freeze her to death, the only thing that made sense was to get rid of the ice with fire. Poor Lynette went from being solid ice to having her entire person singed with a fireball. Let's just say her attitude with her husband wasn't the best for the rest of the day. Thankfully, she came out of the predicament without a lasting scratch.
Genevieve and Ladarian spent most of their time ignoring the antics of their parents and focused on improving their athleticism.
Leilan preferred to read instead.
The triplets' birthday fell on Snowflake Day, leading to a big celebration that included the typical gift giving party. The entrance way was cleared out to make room for all the bodies milling about the space trying to grab presents. The family got a good pick of stuff.
Cake and aging up came after. Here's out next heir, all grown up and ready to go.
Leilan and Ladarian didn't come out so bad either. I decided to take them with the rest of the family on the move.
The move to where, you ask? With the current world getting boring, a drastic change of scenery was needed. Genevieve would begin the next generation in one of my favorite worlds, Monte Vista.
