Surprise, surprise, it's birthday time! I accidentally had Ladarian and Leilan in the wrong position, but here are Genevieve, Ladarian, and Leilan as children. I almost changed my mind about Lynette not having any more children, because I wanted a non-fairy heir. I contemplated both Evalerie and Clara, but there's just something about the dark hair Emmeline, Ella, and Lynette have all had that makes me want to continue that on, at least until it becomes too common and I grow tired of it. Hunter's green is also something I really want to pass on, which makes Genevieve the best candidate. In the end, I decided I would simply have Lynette find a potion to take away her fairy status as it's dominated the gene pool a bit too much at this point. A better mix was achieved with a human heir and potions that changed the state of the fathers instead.
Katarinda didn't really go to elementary school because of all the snow days, but she thoroughly enjoys high school. She got a nice tan in time for prom, ended up being crowned queen, and overall had a great time.
Genevieve, Leilan, and Ladarian were all adamant with their wishes about learning new skills, so after their first day of school I let them spend the afternoon taking different classes to bolster their education outside the classroom. Ladarian ran into his brother and uncle, and he chatted them up for a while after his lesson was done.
Tuckery really likes his umbrella. I never see him without it anymore.
Leilan also ran into someone, Evalerie, that afternoon. The two of them got in some good bonding before Leilan had to come home to complete his homework.
Lynette switched between helping all of them with their schoolwork as they needed as much time as possible that night. Clara and Elsie were growing up, and a good chunk of afternoon was required for a fun celebration.
Here they are, getting all big and beautiful.
While everyone enjoyed some cake, Lynette made Homer's afternoon even more exciting. He'd come over for the party, and since their children were getting more independent Lynette thought it a good time to bring him into the household.
A quick proposal turned into an instant wedding, and of course the two of them knew the best way to make the most of their first night as a married couple.
Katarinda achieved an impressive feat. The Teen stage is set long enough for them to learn some decent skills and get good grades in school, but because of when birthdays usually fall they almost always just miss going for enough days to get on the honor roll. Katarinda got lucky, however, and managed to make it onto the list. She even had a full day to spare.
I finally got this air refresher rewards points thing to work. Everyone would simply stand by it for a bit whenever I attempted to have them meditate next to it because the action would cancel itself. I was about to sell it when Clara worked her way around whatever issue prevented everyone else from being able to use it.
Perhaps the meditation got her too accustomed to the floor though. Katarinda's birthday was a bit hectic, so some were doing homework while others were eating cake. Clara chose the floor as her place to work instead of taking advantage of the empty chair right nearby.
And here is the birthday girl all aged up.
Lynette had grown used to her fairy children messing with the plumbing and trying to make her teeth chatter, but she was entirely unprepared when her husband suddenly whisked his own magic out at her. Homer was simply helping her day go better by letting loose a good luck charm, but Lynette would have preferred a bit more warning.
Still frustrated by all the leaves sticking around, Lynette used her extra free time now that there were no more toddlers to watch by raking up the grounds of the alchemy shop. She got most of it done in one day.
Both Clara and Elsie got pranked when they took showers that evening.
The maid was trying to take out the garbage while Lynette was trying to get into the fridge. Them getting in the way of the other signaled to the maid that there was only one appropriate action to take- dump the garbage all over the floor. The garbage that had once been empty juice packs and ice cream cartons magically became leaves.
Homer and Lynette threw a pool party as the last days of summer approached. They invited family over, but of course the first people to arrive were some party crashers.
C'mon, people. The vast majority of you lived here before. You should know how to get through the front door by now.
Homer and Lynette made sure everyone got in and had a good time, because the pool party was also a birthday party. The triplets had only just had their birthday, it seemed, but it was time for Genevieve, Leilan, and Ladarian to grow up once more.
The purple loving triplets, in all their teenage glory.
Only just having parked the car at the alchemy shop that day, Lynette heard a ruckus going on inside. Some old guy was wailing on the cashier with a vengeance- and for no apparent reason as far as she could gather.
The cashier did his best to fight back, but it did him little good.
Lynette wasn't having any of that, especially when the old guy went to start something with her. A touch of fairy magic and an abruptly upset stomach hushed him up fast.

LOL what's wrong with that guy
ReplyDeleteI really like the diversity in the family. I think it's a good idea to make Genevieve human and also I think she's really beautiful and cute so it's going to be fun to have her as the heir.
