Capella found it strange that while she hated the sun so much when she was a vampire, it was now something she enjoyed dearly. Brendon had stormed out of the house that morning they had fought, and had not come back. Capella knew he was still in the city somewhere, but he wouldn't answer any of her calls. Capella knew Brendon was to blame for the argument just as much as she was, but she wished as she sat on the swing at the park that she hadn't been stressing him out so much.
He had clearly been having a difficult time accepting his life after his birthday had come around. Capella hadn't known until after Brendon left that his children from his previous marriage had been giving him a hard time because of how he left them and his ex-wife. By manipulating Brendon, Capella had forced him to abandon the children he had loved so much. He had come to say that he loved Capella more than he had ever loved his ex-wife, but she wondered if the spell she used on him had just taken a long time to wear off. It had been very powerful. Perhaps it had finally wore off though, and that was why he had gotten so angry with her so quickly.
Just when Capella was reaching her lowest point as she continued to wallow in her thoughts, who else would should up at the park besides Brendon himself? He instantly spotted her and came over. Apparently, he had been looking for her. Capella feared he wanted her to talk about the divorce proceedings, but in truth, Brendon had come to apologize. He admitted that after she had used his powers on him, he had somehow gained some access to her thoughts. Even when he was far away, her strong depressed thoughts still reached him.
He couldn't take it anymore. Brendon had to let her know the reality of his feelings- that he truly did love her. They both had things they needed to work on, but Brendon wanted to work on them together. He didn't want a divorce. He had asked her to give up being a vampire because he couldn't stand a life without her, and that feeling hadn't changed now. Brendon asked if Capella would be willing to let him be with her again.
She said yes.
In order to celebrate the two being reunited, Brendon and Capella decided to renew their wedding vows at the park where they had made up. They invited family and friends, and whoever the heck happened to be walking by was free to join in also.
It was a beautiful ceremony. Brendon and Capella were glad they finally got to have a proper declaration of their marriage that they hadn't had the first time around.
The celebration lasted late into the afternoon. The guests enjoyed wedding cake for their dinner that night.
All was not well though. At the stupid house where none of the stupid lights would turn on, someone left something cooking in the oven. Since there was no fire alarm, a huge fire raged out of control during the entire time of the wedding. The house was destroyed by the time the family returned and the flames were extinguished.
The Starr family did not mourn the loss of their stupid house where none of the stupid lights would turn on though. The insurance they got for all their stuff was enough to move back to their old wonderful house where all the wonderful lights turned on. Mesarthim, Auriga, and Sadatoni headed off to bed, but Capella, Brendon, and Sheratan enjoyed some television before heading off to sleep.
A couple days later, and Brendon was completely back to his normal, nice self. His mood then improved drastically as he mastered the guitar skill and completed his lifetime wish.
The timing was perfect. Mesarthim had his birthday.
And Auriga did too.
Her traits are:
Dislikes Children
Equestrian
Genius
Daredevil
Excitable
Lifetime Wish: The Tinkerer
Of course, because it was time to start a new generation, it was also time for Sheratan, Capella, Brendon, and Sadatoni to take their leave from the active household. They ended up on a couple houses down the street though.
Mesarthim got right on the challenge, going out and impregnating one of his neighbors that very first day.
Auriga didn't have quite the same luck. She couldn't find any men willing to talk to her long enough for her to get the chance to seduce them. Because I forgot to rehire the maid after the family moved back to the house she didn't even have him to use for a daddy donor. Not wanting to be left behind and having no choice, Auriga went to the hospital to use a sperm donation to become pregnant. However, after hours at the hospital she was informed the injection had failed.
Auriga arrived home very late that night, exhausted and frustrated. She used a sleeping elixir to get a good night's rest, and went back to the hospital first thing in the morning to get successfully impregnated.
And, of course, as soon as she goes to the park all the available men in the city just happen to go there at the same time too. Auriga wanted to scream, but she kept her cool and made acquaintances with as many of them as she could.
Mesarthim and Auriga kept the tradition of the annual gift-giving party going. Naturally, all the family was invited. Sadatoni had become a teenager, so I edited her in CAS to give her her old look back.
The party was a great success where everyone was able to find a seat without throwing a hissy fit. Mesarthim and Auriga didn't get any really stupendous gifts though. Just a couple chess sets.
It was nice seeing Sadatoni next to grandpa Hamal though. It made me feel as if I'm actually getting somewhere with this challenge. By the 10th update of the last time I did this challenge, I was already on the 8th generation. Still, I think I like the pacing of this round better. You get to actually know the Sims a bit more instead of just being shown a picture of them once before never seeing them again.
Well, for the most part. Sometimes there's just too many children to keep up with. Mesarthim purchased the FT lifetime reward, and had triplets as his first set of children. This lovely lad above is Jedidiah.
This is Kellie.
And this is Deric.
No heir yet for Mesarthim. That means impregnate the mommy again and try again!
Auriga gave birth too. She had a son she named Maaz. Brendon was happy to see while he didn't have a child with his hair directly, the coloring was at least passed down to his grandchild though. Auriga, on the other hand, wasn't as ecstatic.
Despite not having the best of times when caring for Maaz, Auriga wanted to teach him to talk, walk, and use the potty though. She taught him all three skills all on her own.
She even did this while pregnant with her second child. The family had finally hired another maid, and he was the cutest man she knew at the time, so baby daddy he was made.
Auriga did begin to feel a little crazy being with her toddler son all day every day. So one night as soon as Mesarthim came home from work, she went out to the spring festival. The park was empty because of the late hour, but Auriga had a great time collecting non-Easter Easter eggs until well into the early morning.
Now comes a lot more of Mesarthim's children. The very next child of his who was born turned out to be an heir. His name was originally Glen, but Mesarthim renamed him Bootes. I love how Bootes ended up getting his mother's pretty freckles.
Bootes was part of another set of triplets. He has two younger sisters, Juana...
and Courtney.
Auriga gave birth again, this time to a girl named Arcturus. Auriga was very frustrated when she saw her child got her father's hair coloring once again. Auriga was so frustrated, in fact, that after seeing Mesarthim get his heir so easily that it wasn't a smart (or safe) idea to really leave Maaz or Arcturus in Auriga's care. Mesarthim couldn't take care of them and Bootes by himself, so Brendon was very willing to take in his two grandchildren.
Then Auriga only became more frustrated when more of Mesarthim's children were born. Clara was an Etael heir as well.
Colin got the purple hair, but didn't get the eyes. However, he has really really really pretty green eyes. I'll definitely be keeping a watch on him as he grows up.
And Mesarthim's last child, Jeramy, is also an heir.
Auriga prayed as the morning sickness came on that the third time might be the charm for her. Else, with Mesarthim already having three heirs of his own, she might have to change her tactic up a little.
