Homer had become an Adult again, so he was invited over to take another potion to make him a Young Adult. The same problems were encountered again with Genevieve getting randomly reset when using the potion on him, but at least the triggered the first time this time and she didn't have to waste a second one. It was certainly something seeing Homer younger than his youngest daughter.
Perhaps that is why he spent a lot of the afternoon and evening with his youngest daughter's youngest daughter. Rosette and Homer talked non-stop and gave each other hug after hug.
Homer also read her a bedtime story before he left for the night.
I may have forgotten about Ryleen and Serenada's birthday, so they may have aged up on the path leading up to the household. Rolan was at least there to celebrate with them.
It was this birthday that I determined for certain that Ryleen was going to be the heir for the next generation.
She constantly had her head in books while party animal Serenada continued to dance like there was no tomorrow.
Ryleen started to help out Genevieve in the garden. I contemplated having her focus on a different set of skills, but I was having so much fun with the alchemy I didn't want to let go of it. Things would be much easier for Ryleen as well with her mother having done all the hard work of getting the ingredients and supplies set up and stocked.
The magical jellybean bush has been sitting in the corner for forever, but it took until now for someone to bother with it.
Rosette was turned yellow, and she wasn't too sure about the result.
A sneaky Serenada booby-trapped the laptop.
It was time for another goodbye. Luliett's birthday arrived, and with it she moved out to live with Rolan.
The next birthday to come around was Rosette's.
Not only did she show some love to the ignored jellybean bush, but she also gave the neglected workout equipment some attention as well.
Serenada, on the other hand, wanted to do nothing else but chill in the hot tub.
Genevieve worked on her other skills, such as her Charisma, with the time she had left.
Ryleen found herself having much more difficulty making potions than her mother ever did. The poor thing got turned into a frog.
Thankfully, it was all too easy for Genevieve to whip up some Cure potions to get her back to herself. It was even better that she was able to make multiple copies, for Ryleen turned into a frog about four more time over the course of her attempts to get the hang of potion crafting.
It was so unfortunate when this happened. I truly thought Genevieve would have a bit more time than what she got considering her Athletic skill was maxed and she had spent a lot of time working out in the past week.
She had really only just needed to last about twelve more hours, for that would make it Ryleen and Serenada's birthday. Unfortunately, death was not going to wait.
Genevieve shook hands with Grim, and then she was gone.
I was curious to see what was going to happen with there being no adult in the household, but nothing popped up. The game continued as normal, and 'as normal' means that Ryleen thought the best action to take immediately after her mother's death was invite the grim reaper to hang out with her in the hot tub.
The girls threw a funeral the following morning.
Most sims I invited generally show up to the parties I throw, but for whatever reason only about a third of them made an appearance this time. Perhaps it was because of the sad nature of the event. The only ones I really cared about not coming were Lynette and Homer. Leilan came though, which was extra sad because Ladarian had already passed on as well. Leilan was the remaining one of the three.
To make the situation as best as they could, the twins celebrated their birthday towards the end of the event.
With Genevieve's passing and their transition into Young Adults, that means it's time for the start of a new generation. At 52 children being born over four generations so far, we're doing pretty good.
Just from an interesting statistics viewpoint:
Emmeline had 11 children, 6 of which were supernaturals
Ella had 13 children, 6 of which were supernaturals
Lynette had 15 children, 9 of which were supernaturals
Genevieve had 13 children, 5 of which were supernaturals
