The teenagers wanted to go ice skating, and, with a free afternoon ahead of them, it looked like they would be able to do just that. Unfortunately, the weather would not cooperate. It took them a while to navigate out of the house and make their way to the pond on the other side of the map. The temperatures warmed during that time, melting the ice off the water. Tuckery, Briella, Aramina, and Averil had no choice but to accept defeat and think of something else to do.
Seeing what they would on their own, they were given some extra Free Will. Aramina and Averil mostly messed about on their phones while Tuckery read a book he brought with him, but Briella got somewhat more adventurous by examining the Weather Stone that randomly popped up on the lot. She naturally couldn't do anything with it given that she was a mere human, but she enjoyed staring at it.
With those four being relatively boring, I sent them to the festival instead. Meanwhile, things were pretty active back home. Lynette was watching over her two youngest when the pangs of labor hit. Not lucky enough to have a babysitter around this time, she endured most of the pain in the nursery in order to watch over Skylan and Kylar until the very last minutes of her labor.
Lynette waddled into her room then where she soon gave birth to yet another baby boy. A fairy with wings that looked like they might be similar to hers, the little boy was given the name Lark.
The intense pain of labor was not all the trouble poor Lynette would have to deal with that day. I had just queued the action of her going to the bathroom when Lark demanded he be born. Lynette wasn't able to push him out fast enough. He was born, she placed him in his crib, and then she proceeded to wet herself.
Averil had, of course, come home and walked into the nursery moments before this happened, so she was there to witness her mother's incontinence. She was kind enough not to say anything though. Averil merely played with her younger brothers instead while Lynette rushed off to take a shower and grab a much deserved bite to eat.
There wasn't much in the fridge to pick from, so Briella attempted to remedy the situation the next morning. Attempted is the key word here. Everything was going fine until the very last second. The whole batch of waffles came out badly burned, so the household was reduced to eating stale birthday cake and cold bread and jam.
The next day was Skylan's birthday. Exactly like all of his older siblings, his facial structure very much matched that of his father's. Skylan spent a lot of time talking with Sebastien that day, as well as continuing to play with Kylar in the nursery.
Lynette could never get a moment of privacy. If someone wasn't swiping her television, they were using her computer or sneaking into her bathroom. I would have locked all the doors had I not needed the maid to get through them. There seriously needs to be an option to allow maids through locked doors as well. Anyway, Lynette was having a tough time finish up Kylar's skill building due to him wanting to be where all his siblings were. All four teenagers had overtaken Lynette's room as if it was their own.
As if having them in there all the time wasn't bad enough, Lynette walked in on one instance to find that Tuckery and Briella had broken her television.
In a roundabout way, that television breaking helped out. Lynette had realized that both the television downstairs and the dishwasher had broken as well. She was able to call a repairman to fix them all for the price of only one visit. It took him forever though because the children wanted to keep talking to him.
One day later it was Lark's birthday. The red colored sparkles that swarmed around him during infancy shifted to a much different color for his wings. Green, specifically, which was rather fitting considering his favorite color was green as well. Lynette simply thought it was amusing that he had inherited her fairy gene, for it felt to her that he had that fairy impishness permanently set on his expression.
This time it was Lynette's turn to head to the festival. She had actually given it a few more days since Lark's birthday to find another baby daddy. The labor with him encouraged her to take a break, and, as an immortal, it really wasn't like she needed to rush. Lynette even focused more on the magic show going on at the park first before scouting for men. She did eventually scan through all the male faces around her though.
There was a derpiness to the proprietor's face that Lynette wasn't quite fond of.
Not too bad.
This man had that horrible greenish brown hair Lynette would rather not pass onto her children.
Annnnd...well, she'd rather not.
Going to superficial route, Lynette went with the most attractive option available to her in that moment. Man #2. Bryce Savage. The show was winding down, and the performer was terrible too, so Bryce was more than willing to get his entertainment elsewhere.
Isaiah and Errol were also hanging about at the festival, so Lynette took her chance to get a picture taken with them.
