Despite Isaiah, Errol, and Trevor being Ella's third set of triplets, the task of caring for three babies at once hadn't really gotten easier for the poor mother. She did get a bit more sleep than she had in the past thanks to the help of her older children, but that didn't change the fact that she was up all night tending to her crying boys. Ella attempted to get them on some sort of schedule. It didn't work in the slightest. For a difficult two whole Sim days, she had to contend with their random and unpredictable needs.
Then the three became toddlers. Isaiah and Errol appeared to be identical. They had the same lighter purple skin, Ella's hair, and purple eyes. Isaiah was dressed in his favorite color of white while Errol had red. Trevor was the oddball of the group. His skin was a darker shade of purple, he inherited the random black hair, and his eyes were green. Ella added brown accents to his clothes.
Ella was able to keep in a good mood while Lynette was around to help. However, Ella always struggled once she was left with the triplets on her own. She had to make use of the baby walkers to insure that the boys would be properly taught before their birthday. Ella, despite getting so stressed, loved the progress her sons were making.
However, it couldn't be helped that Isaiah, Errol, and Trevor were occasionally literal pains in the back.
Lynette was a real lifesaver. I left her alone to do what she wanted since she would have little freedom once it became her time to take over, for she was official declared at the next heir. Before she spent most of her time working on her logic skill. However, she switched to helping to take care of the toddlers. She wouldn't even get to them before Ella could, proving that Lynette had been the right one chosen to carry on the task.
It was fun exploring what genies could do since Melinda was my first genie Sim. What I really liked was her ability to so easily clean the house. As soon as any dirty plate was left out or someone put something in the garbage, she got a wish to make the house sparkling and clean. The maid pretty much had nothing to do anymore since Melinda took care of mess time and time again.
She and Gwendolyn spent a day at the festival. I had tried to send Lynette along too, but she canceled the action to do something else at the house instead. Gwendolyn and Melinda had a good time on their outing despite that it began to rain heavily the second they got there. Most of their afternoon was spent dancing.
I decided to invite Tyler over the next day. He was getting on in age, and it seemed a good idea to let Ella's children have some interaction with their grandfather since most hadn't really gotten the chance to know Emmeline. Interestingly, Tyler showed the most interest in Melinda. It made sense what with her being his only grandchild to inherit his peculiar hair color.
With Ella constantly busy with the triplets, the family had to sustain themselves with leftovers for a while. Their store of food did run low after a while though. Not wanting to cook, Lynette resorted to ordering some pizza instead. Everyone was delighted to get a piece, and there was even some remaining for a lucky few to grab for breakfast the next morning.
Errol was a little Houdini. He got someone to sneak him downstairs when I wasn't paying attention. Not interested in any of the toys on the first floor, he merely sat at the foot of the steps until someone brought him back up to Isaiah and Trevor.
Ella got a nice night off. She made a trip to the spa to get a whole body relaxation package. She also met an attractive man afterwards whom she ended up taking home.
Even the genius Lynette had trouble with her homework occasionally. She brought over her ghost friend, Kerry Goth, so they could get through the worst of their assignment together.
Gwendolyn's birthday came along. She was turning out to be a good mix of Ella and Sage, in terms of facial structure anyway.
Lynette was able to babysit, so Ella took the chance to give Gwendolyn the driving lessons she wanted. The two stayed out until Gwendolyn was confident behind the wheel. They then grabbed some late lunch at the diner before heading home.
Melinda spent most of that afternoon petting the rocking horses. It was the first time anyone had given them any attention in a long time. All of Emmeline's children constantly fought over the one she had, which was why an extra was added when the house was renovated. However, now almost all of the toys weren't bothered with. Mostly the children Ella raised played with their imaginary friends in inconvenient places.
Isaiah, Errol, and Trevor were all set up playing in the nursery, so Lynette decided to try her hand at a new skill. One of the tubs in the children's bathroom had broken. Lynette shifted into her fairy form to see if she could repair it herself. She failed the first time, but she was able to make the appropriate corrections when she tried the second time around. She was proud that no repairman had had to have been called.
Ella was relieved to come home where Melinda's magic had the whole place sparkling and where the triplets were all taken care of. She was free to relax and read a good book- an activity she had not been able to do for a while.
A spur of the moment decision had her going out on a date with Tyrian the next evening. He had aged up into an elder, but Ella was still greatly into him. He invited her to the gym of all places. It was a strange place for a date. Ella was simply glad to be out of the house though. They stood outside talking for a long while.
The two then decided that the night needed some shaking up. A LLAMA right outside the gym was open and available for some loving. However, Elmira was on the lot as well. She too was about to use the traveling device for some fun. Sadly for her, Ella got into the box just a bit faster.
Ella and Tyrian ended their night with a long dinner at the bistro.
I had helped prompt the children when Ella had been teaching Gwendolyn to drive. I left them completely on their own on Ella's date though to see if Lynette and Gwendolyn could manage the household. They couldn't. The place was a mess and nothing was getting done. Almost everyone was in a bad mood. Gwendolyn was struggling to get an irritable, hungry, and tired Trevor happy.
Lynette thought the best place to give Errol his bottle was outside on the ground.
Meanwhile, Isaiah was stuck in one of the walkers with no attention being given to him whatsoever.
Ella had hoped she would come home to a peaceful house, but what she had was too frustrated teenagers and three incredibly cranky and smelly toddlers. The only one comfortable and asleep like she was supposed to be was Melinda. Lynette and Gwendolyn were relieved from duty so they could shower and get to bed. Ella expertly got the triplets all taken care of and into bed without too much hassle.
A few days later, such situations would be avoided again for a while. Isaiah, Errol, and Trevor had their birthday. It was the first time in a long time where there were no teenagers in the house. It was driving home the point that Ella's time as the one in charge would soon be coming to a close. With 24 children born in two generations, it seemed likely that the task would come to its conclusion before a 10th heir was needed.
Isaiah was a little derpy one morning. Either he was tired or there was something in the waffles Ella made.
When left to their own devices, the triplets each had their own thing they liked to do. Isaiah preferred to sneak into Ella's room to talk to strangers on the internet.
Errol loved to play video games.
And Trevor enjoyed watching Errol get angry when he played video games.
Lynette is pretty, but based off looks I would have picked Gwendolyn as heir. Of course, I don't know their traits. The trippers are cute, though!
